NADIR IS LOTUS STEM
Lotus stem (kamal kakri)-1 kg
Dry mint powder-1tsp
Green coriander fresh , finely chopped-11/2 tsp
Green chillies, finally chopped-11/2 tsp
Cumin powder-1 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
1.Roast the lotus stem on a coal fire until large, brown specks appear all over (you can grill also in oven till done) . Then peel the skin chop the stems into thin slices and grind them into a coarse paste.
2.Add all other ingredients and mix well .
3.Divide the mixture into 25 portions, flatten each patty and shape into a round shape or any other shape of your choice.
4.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties until light brown . remove and serve hot with green chutney.
