Cherry chutney

Ingredients :

Sour cherry .... 500 GM
Panch pooran .....3tbsp
Jaggery ...............300 GM
Salt ..........as per taste
Red chili powder .....2 tsp
Oil........3 tbsp

HOW TO..



De seed cherries and keep aside . Heat oil in a skillet add panch pooran in it and stir add de seeded cherries in it now add salt and red chilies stir well and cook till cherry turn tender and soft (do not add water let it cook in juice only)
Now add crushed jaggery in it and cook for another 15- 20 min or till jaggery dissolve properly . Let it cool properly . Cherry chutney is ready to store . Store in airtight jar and keep it in refrigerator .

GURWALE SHALGAM ( SWEET AND TANGY TURNIPS) punjabi style

Turnips are called Shalgam in Punjabi/Hindi, Gonglu in Punjabi and Gogji in Kashmiri. They are mild in taste and absorb spices well. We love it in various forms. Shalgam is a winter vegetable and is a popular recipe from Punjabi cuisine. Shalgam (Turnip) belongs to the radish family.
