Stuffed Bitter Guard ( Bharva karele masaledar)

Bitter gourd has many health benefits. It has many vital vitamins, minerals and also has blood purifying properties. So why not include this wonder vegetable in our diet once in a week. This is one of my favorite stuffed vege. My kids who do not like bitter gourd, love this Achari stuffed bitter gourd....
Achari Stuffed Bitter Guard 


4 bitter melon (karela)
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice


I generally prefer vegetarian dishes but my daughters are hard core non-vegetarians so I keep trying my vege versions of non veg dishes on them so that they enjoy vege dishes as they enjoy non veg.Actually my personal motive is to give them nutritive dishes with exotic taste so that they never run away from the dining area. So, hear I present KADHAI VEG MURG or NUTRILA DELIGHT

Waldorf veg salad


500 GM red apples, diced
3tbsp fresh lemon juice
150 ml mayonnaise
1 head celery
4 shallots (spring onion or small onion)
1 garlic clove, crushed
90 GM walnuts, chopped
500 GM paneer or cottage cheese, cubed
1cos lattuce
Chopped walnuts, to garnish


SERVE - 12
3 Tbsp sunflower oil
1 medium onion , finely chopped
2 cloves garlic , crushed
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp chilli or cayenne pepper
150 gm Basmati rice, washed and drained
325 ml skimmed milk
1 tsp salt
